This league will change again in 2011, with three new teams (Spring Valley Hall, Princeton, and Mendota) joining to split the league into two divisions. The Titans struggled to a (2-7) final record in 2009. One of those wins was an exciting, 22-20 win, at Macomb. Not only are the two schools rivals seperated by 30 miles, the Titans spoiled the Bombers homecoming. The only other victory for Monmouth-Roseville came in week two, beating winless Kewanee (22-18). Offensively, the team returns Quarterback Drew Cole (6'2" 180 Jr.). As a sophomore, Cole started every game at the position. A pair of offensive lineman are back; Alex Wilde (5'9" 230 Sr.) and Austin Petri (6'0" 190 Jr.). Other players that could fit in offensively are; Garren Randolph (5'10" 170 Sr.), Tanner Adams (5'8" 145 Sr.), Zach Conard (5'8" 165 Sr.), Tim Chick (6'0" 180 Sr.), Bryce Willett (5'7" 135 Jr.), and Blake Stuart (6'1" 185 Sr.). Potential lineman filling in empty spots could be; Dylan Robertson (5'7" 210 Sr.), Brad Perrin (5'11" 190 Sr.), Russell Schneider (6'4" 260 Sr.), Zeke Ramirez (6'2" 265 Sr.), Eddie Miller (5'8" 280 Sr.), and Dalton Chandler (5'10" 360 Sr.). Several starters return on defense. Up front, Justin Ricco (5'10" 190 Sr.) and Zach Conard (5'8" 165 Sr.) will be on the defensive line. A full linebacking corps is back; Tanner Tate (6'0" 195 Sr.), Justin McKee (5'9" 175 Sr.), and Tim Chick (6'0" 180 Sr.). In the secondary, Tanner Adams (5'8" 145 Sr.) and Garren Randolph (5'10" 170 Sr.) return. A pair of offensive lineman were lost to graduation and will be playing college football this fall. Derek Therrien will be at Cornell College in Iowa, and Andrew Kindhart will be suiting up at Eureka College. Curt Crum has been a head coach for nine years. He enters his fifth season at Monmouth-Roseville. Crum has led the Titans to the playoffs twice in four seasons. His record at the school is (15-23). He was also head coach at PORTA in Petersburg for five seasons, leading the Blue Jays to the IHSA playoffs in 1999. His overall coaching record is (36-48). Crum played college football at MidAmerica Nazarene University. Assistant coaches are; Bob Reedy, Nathan Beacraft, John Kroener, Dustin Murray, Jason Kenney, and Dale Therrien. |
